For 2018, Jeep Cherokee has realigned the trim levels to Latitude, Latitude Plus, Limited, Overland and Trailhawk. As the base trim level, Latitude includes premium standard features such as: 17-inch aluminum wheels, fog lamps and high-intensity discharge (HID) headlamps, roof rails, rear back up camera, bright daylight opening (DLO) moldings as well as body-color mirrors and door handles.

The Cherokee Trailhawk also adds new standard features this year, which includes a suite of safety features as well as Dual-zone/Automatic Temperature Control. The Cherokee Limited now features standard safety features as well as a power liftgate.

Standard power is provided by a 2.4L Tigershark MultiAir 2 four-cylinder engine. A 3.2L Pentastar V-6 engine is an available option. Torque for both engines is communicated to the ground through the automaker’s 948TE nine-speed automatic transmission. Control hardware consists of a front independent suspension with MacPherson struts and a rear independent multi-link suspension. The front suspension provides 6.7 inches of travel while the rear suspension provides up to 7.8 inches of travel for better articulation.
