Refined sophistication: 2015 Audi A6 sedan

Last updated in 2012, the Audi A6 features a classic yet contemporary exterior appearance combined with impressive overall performance and efficiency. The long wheelbase and short overhangs gives the Audi A6 a performance-oriented look while delivering improved ride quality and interior space. High-efficiency diode lasers are used to weld the roof to the side panel frame structure yielding a sleek “zero joint” seam. The Audi A6 exterior exhibits strength and agility, with its sloped roofline that provides exceptional aerodynamics and sporty driving characteristics.

Offered in 2.0T and 3.0T models and Premium, Premium Plus and Prestige (3.0T) trim levels, power for the Audi A6 sedan is produced by a 2.0L direct-injection turbocharged four-cylinder engine or a 3.0L direct-injection, supercharged V6 prime mover. Torque is communicated to the pavement through a multitronic CVT eight-speed automatic for the 2.0T and an eight-speed Tiptronic automatic for the 3.0T all-wheel drive. The available quattro AWD features an asymmetric rear-biased torque distribution of 40/60 front/rear.

No one really thought Audi cars were cool until John Frankenheimer put the Audi S8 front and center of a car chase in his classic action flick, Ronin. The S8 is agile, blisteringly fast and capable in a way that would surprise most, so much that Audi dealers had customers come in and specifically request "the car from Ronin."
