Refined and youthful, sporty and advanced, the 2016 Honda Odyssey minivan continues with its model grade strategy: six different available trim levels that include: LX, EX, SE, EX-L, Touring, and the line-topping Touring Elite. A DVD Rear Entertainment System (RES) and Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System™ with Voice Recognition are available on EX-L models and above.

Power for the Odyssey is generated by a 3.5L V6 engine with torque transferred to the street through a six-speed automatic transmission. Further enhancing occupant safety, the 2014 Odyssey receives the next-generation Advanced Compatibility Engineering™ (ACE™) body structure. The reinforced frontal structure improves frontal crash energy management through a wider range of offset and oblique collision modes.

The Odyssey rides on a platform which is lightweight and rigid. The Honda minivan contains 59 percent high-strength steel content by weight, the most of any Honda to date. The extensive use of high-strength steel contributes to lower vehicle curb weight and a stronger body. Control hardware features a specially tuned independent MacPherson strut front and multi-link rear suspension.

The passenger cabin of the Odyssey minivan embraces a "cool and intuitive" theme consistent with its increased levels of technology and family versatility. The dashboard's simple and clean lines accent the depth of the cabin for an open and spacious feeling. A key exterior design element, the lightning-bolt belt line, improves the interior sight lines from the third row. Interior colors include Beige, Gray and Truffle for the new high-quality fabric that features a refined and dynamic new weave pattern on LX and EX models, while the EX-L, Touring and Touring Elite feature leather upholstery.

The Odyssey exemplifies quality from its ergonomically friendly controls and sensible human factors, such as the positioning of grab handles, bins and pockets; intuitive switches and controls; and the feel of textiles and soft-touch textured surfaces. Significant convenience features include a "three-mode" second-row seat design that expands laterally, along with a simpler-to-operate, one-motion, 60/40 split 3rd-row Magic Seat®. The "three-mode" second row can accommodate three passengers with comfort for all, and the "wide mode" supports third-row pass-through access from the side with as many as two child seats in place in the second row. The third row provides good legroom, along with easy sight lines out of the side windows.
